NEW HEIGHTS

With each January comes new beginnings, new ideas, new heights to aspire to.

We are so excited for this new year at DC and feel so honored to share it with you!
Expect big things to come, we will be introducing new segments, a new look for the blog, and most importantly bringing inspiring words to encourage you to impact your world.

This year we really want you to feel like a part of the family (which may mean things like card swaps aren't just reserved for Christmas time!) we want the words we write to resonate with you, and to stir something within your heart to take that back and influence your local community!

Our prayer is that you will feel supported, that you will find community, and that your spirit will be encouraged.

My personal focus for this year is to live boldly and on purpose. To be others orientated. To die to self and live with God as my source in all things. What is God speaking to you about for this year?
I could quote the entire book of Philippians, but these verses sum it up perfectly:

"For I live in eager expectation and hope that I will never do anything that causes me shame, but that I will always be BOLD for Christ, as I have been in the past, and that my life will always honor Christ whether I live or die. For to me, living is for Christ, and dying is even better." Phil 1:20-21
"Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and sympathetic? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one heart and purpose. Don't be selfish; don't live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Don't think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing. Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. Though he was GOD, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal's death." Phil 2:1-8
So let's go into 2013 with expectant hearts, ready to hear and outwork the word of God!
